| Profile |
The SCENAR (Self Controlled-Energo-Neuro-Adaptive-Regulator) was developed by a team of Russian doctors and scientists in the 1970's as massive funding was poured into equipment for the Russian space program. Cosmonauts could not take medications into space for every possible malady. The solution was the SCENAR device, which triggers the body’s own healing mechanisms to relieve pain and reduce recovery time.
It was called Russia's secret weapon at the Sydney 2000 Olympics because it enabled their athletes to compete again after sustaining injuries.
At the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games a team of Australian Scenar therapists was on hand to assist Torah Bright (Olympic Gold medallist in snowboarding) and Hannah Campbell Pegg, luge, reach their optimum potential.
Independent research trials by Sydney’s Macquarie University in 2004 have confirmed chronic pain relief, disability reduction, and functional rehabilitation. Most importantly, positive results were sustained through the follow up period of 6 months.
The Scenar device is listed with the Australian TGA as a therapeutic medical device and is finding increasing acceptance by practitioners and patients worldwide for acute and chronic health conditions.
