I am a member of the Shiatsu Therapy Association of Australia. Hence you will be able to claim part or most of your consultation fees with your health funds, depending on your type of coverage.
Here are some details on the amazing Shiatsu Massage Therapy.
<font color="blue", size=+2>Shiatsu
Harmonise and Energise your Qi flows
The word Shiatsu means finger pressure. Shiatsu evolved from an ancient form of Japanese body therapy. It uses the pressure of the fingers, thumbs, palms of the hand, elbows or feet to activate and support the body's natural energy flow. This energy is referred to as Qi.
Benefits
Shiatsu helps to stimulate circulation and promotes relaxation. It strengthens your body and alleviates pain and discomfort, gently supporting you back to its natural balance.
Shiatsu is a total body therapy which effectively assists with a variety of conditions including asthma, back, neck and shoulder pain, fatigue, RSI, sports injuries, depression, anxiety, insomnia, migraines, menstrual issues, muscle tension, irritable bowel and stress related conditions.
You can expect a release of body aches and pains, better digestive functioning and an immune boost. You are left with a fantastic sense of wellbeing which can last for days. Shiatsu, received on a regular basis is remarkable in its effectiveness for many health conditions.
What happens during the Shiatsu treatment?
Each Shiatsu is designed for your needs. During a shiatsu consultation, I will begin with a general health diagnosis, then treat you using pressure applied to points along the energy meridians. The treatment usually takes place on a massage table, but may be given in a sitting position.
Loose comfortable clothing is recommended as the treatment will often encompass flowing stretches and gentle rotation of limbs.
Shiatsu combines well with other modalities, counselling and medical treatment.
I also intuitively combine Bowen therapy, Emmett Technique and Reiki in my shiatsu treatments to enhance the effectiveness of my treatments.
Pricing
My fees for a one hour session is $70, and $100 for a 90-minutes session. Rebates are available through a variety of health funds.
Success Stories
YSK came to me with problems in her menstrual cycle. She worked as a nurse and the irregular hours are upsetting her biological clock. After several treatments, her cycle was back to normal.
This is what YSK wrote to me:
“My menstrual cycle was irregular and late. After a shiatsu treatment from Kaikit, my period came back. After 3 treatments, my cycle went back to normal and have had no problems since.”

<font color="blue", size=+1>About Kaikit Wong
After spending several years studying and working in IT, I understand very well the stresses of work and its influence on our wellbeing. I was personally a sufferer of rheumatoid arthritis for 3 years and recovered after seeking holistic treatments with natural medicine.
This prompted me to follow my heart’s passion and began my new career in natural therapies. Reiki was my first introduction to healing, followed by a 2 year full time course in Shiatsu & Oriental Therapies. Recently, I have also attained qualification in Bowen Therapy.
My philosophy to healing is similar to that of Tao. Our body reacts to force with tension, and yet relaxes with yielding and softness. Hence my approach is gentle and painless. I always respect and listen to the needs of your body to allow maximum healing potential.
For my health and wellbeing, I maintain a regular practice of meditation, taichi, qigong and yoga several times a week.
I also place great importance on continuing education to upgrade my expertise. Currently, I am studying Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Herbs) to better understand your health and offer better improvements to your wellbeing.
I now volunteer free shiatsu treatments to the asylum seekers at Asylum Seekers Centre every thursday. Please see their website www.asylumseekerscentre.org.au for more information on the Asylum Seekers Centre.
