When energy becomes blocked within the body it causes pain or tension.
Polarity Therapy is a hands on healing approach, that incorporates gentle rocking and stretching of the body, producing a deep relaxing and soothing effect for the mind, body and spirit. Light and deep pressure points are used, placing the hands on positive and negative points of the body, this sends an energy current between the two points, recharging the body as the energy flows.
Polarity Therapy is a safe yet powerful healing technique, which promotes relaxation, reduces stress, improves postural habits, alleviates pain and discomfort, and prevents disease while maintaining a sense of health and well-being.
Monique includes Craniosacral Therapy and Reflexology in her sessions, and incorporates Expressive Arts Therapies including art, movement and drama into her Polarity Therapy sessions when required. As well as Cranio Sacral Therapy, Reflexology, Stone Massage, Swedish Massage, and Shamanic healing techniques.
Monique also teaches individual and group classes called Energy Exercises for the Mind and Body. These involve therapeutic stretching and strengthening techniques, movement re-patterning, free form dance and end with meditation. Some exercises are grounding and calming while others are invigorating.
Monique is a member of the Australian Polarity Therapy Association.
