Colonic Irrigation
Colonic irrigation is an ancient practice stemming from the medical traditions of Greece, India and Egypt.
Patients of Colonic Irrigation receive treatment in a spa or clinic setting, and are required to change into a hospital gown before laying down and having an enema of warm, distilled water flushed through their colon. The enema causes the muscles of the colon to expand and contract, which in combination with massaging of the abdomen free pockets of waste and gas and flush the colon of fecal mater, bacteria and undigested foods.
Colonic Irrigation decreases toxin levels in the body and is often of use to people suffering from bowel dysfunction, skin problems, bloating and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).
