Massage Deep Tissue
Massage from the Arabic word ‘masah’ means to stroke with the hand. In applying trained methods of touch, massage facilitates relaxation & reduces stress, aids circulation, relaxes muscles, improves range of motion, and brings the body into physical and emotional balance.
Massage is the deliberate application of touch that restores the physical balance of the body’s soft tissue through friction, kneading, percussion and the application of finger point pressure.
Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the release of toxins and tensions in large muscles by “un-sticking” the deep muscle tissue. Strong muscle compressions are used in conjunction with friction along the muscle grain to stimulate increased blood and oxygen flow to areas of fatigue.
Deep Tissue massage can be both corrective and therapeutic, because it is working deep within the body, Deep Tissue Massage also has the potential to release emotional trauma that has been stored in the body.
