NFM trains women to hone their senses in becoming aware of their bodies’ cycles, systems and sensations: their cervical muscles, their banal temperatures, and their lunar cycles to mention a few. Through mastering the recognition and understanding of the aforementioned, women can more accurately manage their fertility. NFM is used both as a means of decreasing the likelihood of fertilization (approx. 97% successful when practiced correctly) or to enhance fertility. NFM presents a way for women to control their reproduction without the use of pharmaceuticals or hormone treatments (i.e. hormonal birth control), both of which often have negative side affects.
